Make Your Own Medieval Experience has a strong focus on historic crafts. A full, ordinary or provisional member may form a guild by application to the committee . The application must show that the guild is unique within Make Your Own Medieval Experience and provide historical documentation for the craft being displayed. Guilds are encouraged to set up a permanent or semi-permanent display at living history events.
Guilds may choose which membership classes they wish to be open to.
The standard ranks within a guild are as follows:
- Apprentice
- Journeyman
- Craftsman
- Master
- Grand Master (A guild my only have one Grand Master at any point in time)
A non-crafting guild may choose to alter these ranks.
The below table outlines Ranks, modes of address and other information pertaining to rank. Please note that Modes of address are able to be used by both male and females, however a person may choose an alternate mode of address.
